I'm in Riga, enjoying my time with the lovely lady my friends don't see very often :)
It's getting to the end of the first month of being unemployed. Cash is running out. The part of my last salary that I put into cryptocurrency has doubled, so that buys me some more time, BUT taking out investments feels like cheating myself so holding on to that as much as possible.
The motivation to achieve is coming back - I want to actually do stuff. Right now I am unsure what to aim for exactly and how to build a routine when I've got 3 places to be (Tallinn, Riga, countryside).
Morning routine
Self-discipline is not easy. So I spent half a day surfing youtube figuring it out. Here's my morning routine from now on taken mostly from Tim Ferris and some other people on youtube:
- Make bed
- Cold shower
- Meditate
- Green tea + journal + cannabis oil + 30g protein
- (Workout)
The alarm is now set to 9am, but if eyes open earlier it's go time. No sleeping in and wasting the morning away - it affects the day too much.
Meditation is to relax and notice the fears inside. Cold shower is to be awake while meditating. Making the bed is that small win that can motivate the cold shower :)
Green tea, cannabis oil and protein are what make the brain work and give energy. Journal is to appreciate what I have, set goals for the day and to review progress in the evening.
Workout will be the optional activity. Running in the mornings is a great way to get energized, but I don't always have running shoes or any nature around. Body weight workout is great, but I'm pretty bad at figuring out exercises, so rather than fail the whole routine, this is just going to be optional.
6 Month goals
- Generate income from freelancing in cryptocurrencies
- 3 individual projects finished in Koodikool
- Buy and fix a van to travel with
I don't know what I want to do exactly, but I do know I need an income and cryptocurrencies seem most interesting to work on. Koodikool is the most mission driven thing I'm doing and it's already working well - need to figure out how to make it 10x better. Travelling in a van is still a bright idea. In principle I've got the money already, but somehow seems like it's best to wait a little longer.
